India–Israel Land Forces Capability Seminar
The Modern Land Battlefield: Technologies and Capabilities for the Connected Tactical Force

The International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT), Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD), and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), with the support of the Army Design Bureau (ADB), Indian Army, are organising the India–Israel Land Forces Capability Seminar on the theme “The Modern Land Battlefield: Technologies and Capabilities for the Connected Tactical Force”, on 17 November 2026 in New Delhi.
The seminar aims to facilitate the exchange of operational insights and showcase innovative technologies that address the evolving requirements of modern land warfare. Discussions will focus on building a Connected Tactical Force through advanced technologies that enhance operational effectiveness, situational awareness, connectivity, human-machine teaming, and force survivability.
Key Technology Areas
1. Awareness: Tactical ISR and surveillance, ground sensors and observation systems, smart border and perimeter security, persistent monitoring, and area dominance.
2. Connectivity: Tactical communications, tactical command and control (C2), digitalisation, mobile command and control, resilient connectivity solutions, and blue force tracking.
3. Human-Machine Teaming: Organic UAVs for land forces, robotic and autonomous systems, autonomous reconnaissance, human-machine integration, and edge AI at the tactical level.
4. Survivability: Counter-UAS solutions, active and passive protection systems, mobile electronic warfare, camouflage, concealment, deception, and force and base protection.
The seminar is expected to draw participation from the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD), SIBAT, Israel Defense Forces (IDF), and leading Israeli defence industries and technology companies.
To maximise the value of this engagement, dedicated B2B meeting slots are also being planned. These meetings will enable Indian industry representatives to interact directly with the visiting Israeli delegation and industry participants, and explore opportunities for technology collaboration, co-development, partnerships, and business cooperation.

SIDM Defence Industry Delegation to NEDS 2026
(NIDV Exhibition for Defence and Security)

The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), in association with the Embassy of India, The Hague, The Netherlands, and the Netherlands Industries for Defence and Security (NIDV), is mounting an Indian Defence Industry Delegation to NEDS 2026 (NIDV Exhibition for Defence and Security), scheduled to be held on 19 November 2026 at Ahoy Rotterdam, The Netherlands.
NEDS is a prominent international exhibition and networking platform for the Dutch and global defence and security industry, bringing together defence companies, government representatives, technology providers and international delegations.
The Netherlands, with its advanced defence and technology ecosystem and strong industrial capabilities, offers significant opportunities for Indian companies seeking to expand their presence and partnerships in the European defence market. The delegation will also provide an avenue to further strengthen India–Netherlands defence-industrial cooperation.

Visit of the Indian Defence Industry Delegation to the United Kingdom

The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), in association with the Ministry of Defence, India, High Commission of India in London and the UK India Business Council (UKIBC), is organising a delegation of Indian defence industry representatives to the United Kingdom. The delegation will participate in the Defence Industry Conclave and Industrial Visit, scheduled to be held in London on 26–27 November 2026.
This initiative builds on the growing momentum in India–UK defence cooperation, particularly following the launch of the India–UK Sub-Working Group on Autonomous Platforms and Uncrewed Systems. The programme is intended to facilitate structured engagement between Indian and UK defence stakeholders in the areas of autonomous platforms, uncrewed aerial systems (UAS), counter-UAS technologies, AI-enabled defence solutions, advanced sensors, electronic warfare systems, secure communications, and other enabling technologies.
The Conclave will bring together senior representatives from the Ministries of Defence of India and the United Kingdom, defence industry leaders, innovation agencies, research institutions, start-ups, SMEs, and leading defence companies from both countries. It will offer Indian participants insights into the UK defence ecosystem, emerging capability requirements, procurement priorities, and collaborative programmes of mutual interest.
A key feature of the programme will be curated B2B interactions and networking sessions, enabling Indian companies to engage with potential UK partners and explore opportunities in technology collaboration, co-development, joint ventures, supply chain integration, investment, and exports. Participants will also be able to showcase their capabilities and identify avenues for long-term industrial partnerships.
In addition, the delegation will visit leading UK defence and aerospace facilities, gaining first-hand exposure to advanced technologies, manufacturing ecosystems, innovation practices, and potential areas of industrial cooperation.

Regional Defence MSME Conclave – Dibrugarh, Assam
Northeast India: The New Frontier of Defence Manufacturing

Assam Government has proposed for Defence Corridor in the State to give push to Defence Manufacturing. This will reduce the risk of supply chain vulnerabilities, and boost development of an industrial base in the North-East sector
Dibrugarh serves as a vital logistics and staging hub near India’s eastern frontier, supporting military mobility toward the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and complementing broader regional connectivity initiatives like the proposed Assam Defence Industrial Corridor.
Astra Drones (incubated at IIT Ropar's Technology Business Incubator) was co-founded by Dibrugarh native Anirban Sarkar to build indigenous unmanned systems for defense, surveillance, and disaster response.
To take this forward, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence in collaboration with Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) and Yantra India Limited supported by Confederation of Indian Industry are jointly organizing the Regional Defence MSME Conclave on 30th November, 2026 at Dibrugarh, Assam.
The objective of this Conclave is to connect the Regional MSME and Start-ups with the Defence Manufacturing eco-system to encourage them in the design, development, manufacturing, testing, and sustenance of Defence systems and technologies.
