‘Strengthening India-Malaysia Defence Industrial Collaboration’

The High Commission of India, Kuala Lumpur, in partnership with the Department of Defence Production (DDP), Ministry of Defence, Government of India, and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), is organizing a Mini Defence Expo-cum-Defence Industry Symposium on 05 February 2026 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The event aims to showcase India’s growing defence industrial capabilities and facilitate engagement with Malaysian defence stakeholders. The Deputy Defence Minister of Malaysia has been invited to attend the event as the Chief Guest.

The event will include:

• B2B and B2G meetings with Malaysian Industries and Government officials

• Presentations by Defence Industries

• Interactions with the High Commissioner and other key stakeholders.

The program is expected to witness participation from a wide spectrum of Indian and Malaysian defence companies, including Start-ups, MSMEs, and firms engaged in niche and emerging defence technologies, offering an excellent platform for industry outreach, visibility, and potential collaboration in the Malaysian defence market.

Indian MoD and Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Bangkok, Thailand

                                  10 – 11 February 2026

The Department of Defence Production (DDP), Ministry of Defence, GoI; the Embassy of India in Bangkok, Thailand; and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) are jointly organising an Indian Ministry of Defence and Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Bangkok, Thailand, scheduled from 10 –11 February 2026.

The proposed two-day programme will comprise the following key engagements:

• Defence Seminar hosted by the Embassy of India, Bangkok

• B2B Meetings with Thai defence stakeholders and industry representatives

• Site visits to local defence industries and government establishments

• Interaction with the Ambassador of India to Thailand

The Defence Seminar is expected to be attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Defence, Thailand; the Royal Thai Army (RTA), Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF), and Royal Thai Navy (RTN); Defence Attachés from Friendly Foreign Countries (FFCs); as well as Thai defence companies that have expressed active interest in Indian defence products and technologies. The Government of Thailand has also indicated its willingness to explore Joint Venture (JV) arrangements with Indian companies for local production of defence equipment in Thailand, offering significant opportunities for long-term industrial collaboration.

The delegation visit will focus on exploring cooperation and business opportunities in the following indicative (not exhaustive) areas of interest of the Thai Armed Forces:

• BrahMos for the Navy and Army

• Light tank replacement

• Ammunition, including 155 mm ammunition, 122 mm rockets, mortar bomb fuses, and supply of raw materials for shells

• Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-Drone Systems

• Space technologies

• Cyber technologies for cyber warfare

• Naval systems

• Simulators for naval systems and army equipment

• Protective gear for soldiers

• Repair and overhaul of anti-aircraft guns

• Air defence systems

• Mobility platforms, including APCs

• Repair and overhaul of Dornier aircraft

Indian Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Tel Aviv, Israel

16 – 19 February 2026

The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), in association with the International Defense Cooperation Directorate (SIBAT) under the Israel Ministry of Defense (IMOD), is organising an Indian Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Tel Aviv, Israel, scheduled from 16–19 February 2026.

Israel is globally recognised as a leader in defence innovation, advanced technologies, and combat-proven systems. This delegation visit is being curated to provide Indian defence companies with direct exposure to Israel’s cutting-edge defence ecosystem, while creating structured platforms for potential technology collaboration, joint development, co-production, and business partnerships aligned with India’s indigenisation and export objectives.

The proposed visit will comprise the following key engagements:

•  Visit to the Defence Tech Summit & Expo, Tel Aviv, including interactions with participating Israeli defence companies and technology providers.

•  Participation in the India–Israel Defence Industry Seminar, organised by SIBAT.

•  Structured B2B meetings between Indian and Israeli defence companies.

•  Networking interactions with senior industry and government stakeholders.

•  Visits to select Israeli defence industries.

Indian MoD and Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Nürnberg, Germany 

24 – 25 February 2026

The Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence; the Embassy of India in Berlin, Germany; and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) are jointly organising an Indian MoD and Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Nürnberg, Germany, from 24–25 February 2026.

The visit aims to strengthen India–Germany defence industrial cooperation and facilitate focused B2B engagements between Indian and German defence industry associations and companies.

The two-day programme will include:

• Participation in the Defence Seminar being organised by the Embassy of India in Berlin on 24 February 2026. The Seminar will bring together senior officials and representatives from Indian and German Ministries, procurement and research agencies, Defence Industrial Corridors, industry associations, and companies across key domains including aerospace, land systems, marine systems, AI and cyber, drones and counter-drone technologies, electronic warfare, ammunition, and more.

• Visit to the Enforce Tac Defence Exhibition on 25 February 2026, including participation in the official reception and a guided tour of the exhibition to explore key highlights and engage with major exhibitors. Indian MoD and Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Rome, Italy 

26 – 27 February 2026

As India’s defence manufacturing ecosystem rapidly advances under Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India, deeper integration with trusted global partners has become increasingly critical, particularly for MSMEs and technology-driven companies seeking scale, co-development opportunities, and access to global defence supply chains.

In this context, the India–Italy defence industrial partnership has gained strong strategic momentum. This is underpinned by the SIDM–AIAD institutional framework signed in April 2025, reinforced by high-level political and defence engagements, and further strengthened by the ongoing development of a ‘Defence Industrial Roadmap’ under the India–Italy Joint Strategic Action Plan (2025–2029).

To translate this momentum into concrete industrial and business outcomes, the Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence; the Embassy of India in Rome; and the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) are jointly organising an Indian MoD & Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Rome, Italy, from 26–27 February 2026.

The two-day programme will include:

•Keynote addresses by senior officials from the Indian Ministry of Defence, the Italian National Armaments Directorate (NAD), and leading defence industry representatives.

•Presentations highlighting defence industrial capabilities and collaboration opportunities from both countries.

•B2B sessions to explore partnerships, joint ventures, and technology tie-ups.

•Site visits to leading Italian defence companies, including Leonardo, Fincantieri, and Elettronica.

The Rome visit is strategically aligned with the Indian MoD & Defence Industry Delegation Visit to Nürnberg, Germany, from 24–25 February 2026 (details available at https://bit.ly/3YnGvFr ), enabling participating companies to optimise their international engagements and outreach within the same week.

Conference on Indian Military Aviation Ecosystem

27 February 2026 HAL, Bangalore

The Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM) in strategic association with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and the Centre for Aerospace Product and Systems Studies (CAPSS) is organising a high-level Seminar cum Industry exposition titled "Innovating Aerospace, Strengthening Collaboration, Self-Reliance for Next Generation IAF" at HAL location, Bengaluru on 27 February 2026.
